CURT Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our CURT folding hitch cargo carrier on our 2022 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. Now, this is gonna be a great carrier if you're looking to kind of carry any items that you don't want getting inside your vehicle, whether they be kinda dirty, bulky, or something like that. This is gonna be great for anything like mulch or concrete, things that are gonna have a lot of spillage. So it's gonna have a weight capacity of up to 500 pounds. So I'm roughly close to half that. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Volkswagen Touareg- Video
Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Touareg we'll be having a look at the Curt 24 X 60 cargo carrier for 2-inch hitches that has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. It's part number C18152. Heres what the cargo carrier looks like on the back of our Touareg. First thing we're going to do, just get a couple of measurements here, first one being ground clearance in the back. We're about 17 and a half inches. Now we'll double check the overall length added to our vehicle. more

Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan- Video
Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg Carlson 23 by 60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is CC-100, now this is designed to work with 2 inch hitches only and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Although it does have that very high weight capacity, it's very light weight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. The first thing I'm going to do with it installed is take a few measurements. At the bottom of our bolt here we're going to have about 11 1/2 inches. Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 28 inches. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan- Video
Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 48 by 21 cargo carrier. That part number is MT70422. Now this works with 2" hitches only and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Although it does have that very high weight capacity, it is very lightweight. It's made out of an aluminum so it's easy to put into and take out of your hitch. First thing that we're going to do with it installed is take a few measurements. Starting off with our ground clearance, we're going to have about 13-1/4". more

Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan, we're doing a test fit of a Curt 20x16 Cargo Carrier. That part number is C18150. This has a weight capacity of 500 pounds and works with 2-inch hitches only. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements while it's on our vehicle. Starting off with our ground clearance, to the bottom of our carrier, we're going to have about 16 inches there. That is because we have a raised shank in the back, which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch. more

Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to put into and take out of your hitch. The first thing we're going to do while it's installed is take a few measurements. Starting off with our ground clearance we're going to have about 16-1/4". Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 27". more

Surco Products Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Volkswagen Golf- Video
Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI, we're going to be taking a look at the Surco 20 by 48 Cargo Carrier for 1.25" hitches. Now you can see our cargo carrier is going to have a nice expanded metal bottom. It's going to allow our dirt and debris to fall through. It's got a nice square tube design that's going to give you multiple places to tie down your cargo. The side walls are going to be about 5.75" high. That's going to give you a nice support. more

Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI, we'll be taking a look at the Curt 24 x 48 cargo carrier, part number C18110. Our cargo carrier's going to have a nice expanded metal bottom. It's going to allow dirt and debris to fall through. It's got multiple tie-down points all the way around. It's got a 2-1/2" side lip, it's gonna help keep your cargo in place. It's got a nice black powder-coated finish. more

Surco Products Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Volkswagen Golf- Video
Today on our 2015 Volkswagen GTI we're going to be doing a test fit of the Surco cargo carrier. Now this Surco cargo carrier is going to be part number 52017. As you can see, it's going to fit snugly on this 1-1/4" class one receiver that we have here today. It's going to have that nice expanded metal base for easy cleanability, as well as that sturdy steel construction with a 300 pound weight capacity. It does attach to our receiver using a hitch pin and clip. That hitch pin and clip will not be included, so if you'd like to get one you can get it on our website, part number PC2. It has a max capacity of 400 pounds and it's also for 2 inch receivers only. We can go ahead and start by inserting our shank to our receiver and we are looking for our pin holes to line up. Today on our 2014 Volkswagen Touareg we'll be test fitting the CURT cargo carrier. That's part number C18145. Its dimensions are 17 by 46 and it has a capacity of 500 pounds. It can be used for either 2" hitches or 1-1/4". We can go ahead and start by inserting our shank into our receiver until our pinholes line up. It also comes included with an anti-rattle bolt as you can see here, pin and clip. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Volkswagen Jetta- Video
Today we have a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta and well be test fitting the Curt 20 x 48 Cargo Carrier part number C18145. To mount the cargo carrier on our vehicle, well take the shank of the cargo carrier and fit it into the receiver on our hitch. Well line up the hitch pinholes and then well thread our anti-rattle bolt. Well use the inch wrench to tighten it down and secure our cargo carrier. Well use a clip on the other side of the pin to make sure the pin does not back all the way out. Make sure to keep in mind the location of the vehicle exhaust when loading the cargo carrier. more
